Grandkids and Scheels

I have started taking my grandkids to Scheels to ride the ferris wheel and to take funny photos with the stuffed animals.  It is a fun place to look around. The kids love it. The ferris wheel tickets are a dollar and everything else is free.  Here are some photos with Andrew, Annabelle and Eliza.

Here are some with Rylee & Ezra.

Trevor & Sara and a family reunion

Trevor and Sara flew out for nine days from Louisiana.  We took them to see Zions and Bryce National Parks.  We went on several hikes and visited several museums.  They enjoyed the hikes and museums.
Most of all they enjoyed getting to know their cousins.  Here we are will all of our ten grandchildren.

Jeff flew out from Alabama for the weekend to go fishing with Trevor and Ben.  Jenny's family drove up, Christina's family drove down, Ben's family came and we had a fun Saturday with Bruce's famous pancake breakfast.  Jeff, Trevor and Serge went golfing in the evening.  The grandchildren enjoyed running around our yard.  It was a great day.

New Jeep Trip

Here we are at the White Pocket.  This is the reason Bruce bought the Jeep so we could drive the 12 miles of deep sand to this amazing place and other remote places in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona.

Bruce hiking Peek a boo slot canyon.  This is his favorite slot canyon.

Jill & Bruce in Peek-a-boo, aptly named.

White Pocket amazing swirls of white and red.

Bruce by the "Eye of the Needle" unusual sand formation near Harris Wash.  Difficult to find, but worth it.

Narrows on the Cottonwood Road.  This is right off the road and a easy hike for families if you want to drive the miles of gravel road to get there.

Wahweep Hoodoos.  We came in the back way which is a much easier hike then up from the bottom. It was a great trip and we saw wonderful things.  We camped two nights with our friend, LaRon Taylor.

Hiking Little Wild Horse Canyon

Here we are in Little Wild Horse Canyon near Goblin Valley.  This is our first time there.  We went with friends to hike Ding and Dang Canyons, but they were difficult and had water blocking the way.  Rather than get our feet wet we decided to try Little Wild Horse which was much prettier and nicer.

We go hiking with LaRon Taylor, a distant cousin of Bruce's.

Good bye Orchard

We sold the apricot orchard property 2.43 acres in North Ogden.  Lots of memories picking fruit. Sort of sad.  Bruce is glad not to be responsible for it.

Fishing & Christina

Hurricane, Yant Flats, Zion & Bud

My brother, Jerry, and me at Bryce Canyon.  Jerry flew in to visit us for a quick family reunion in Hurricane with Bud, Diana, Jan and me.

While there Bruce, LaRon and I hiked Yant Flats near by.

Diana, Jerry, Jan, Ken & me at Zion.

Zion & the Virgin River

Olsen siblings minus Jeff who could not attend.  Bud's health is frail after cancer surgery and on going liver disease.

Red Cliffs Reserve

We hiked the trail along Quail creek in the Red Cliffs Reserve with our friend Bonnie Fawcett who lives in St. George.  I like the way the green leaves reflect on the water.  I was surprised that many who live in St. George were not familiar with this place which is only 20 miles north.

Bruce and Bonnie on the trail.

Valley of Fire

We met Jenny's family at the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada.  Andrew, Eliza & Annabelle loved climbing on and through the rocks.  We enjoyed camping out, but have decided we need a bigger tent.
