Esther & Christina, the milk machine

Close up Esther.

Christina can make Esther laugh. In fact Esther is always happy to see Christina since mom is the milk machine.

Can oma get Esther to laugh? Not really. Close up of Esther.

Snow & company

We had fourteen people in the house Friday night. Shera's brother, Robbie and his friends stayed overnight before going snowmobiling at Fairview. Christina, Ryan, Amy & Esther were also here. Amy went out to sit on the tractor after Bruce plowed the drive way.

Bruce enjoyed reading to Rylee & Amy. Rylee stayed with us while they were snowmobiling. She was great. Amy and she played well together.

Ben & Rylee and their blankets

1984 - Ben used to put his blanket in his mouth. He never had a binkie. I could not understand the habit because I figured his blanket must act like a wick drawing the moister out of him. But he loved it. I had to take his blanket away when he fell and cut his lip. I did not want the cut to get infected.

2011 - Now that Rylee no longer has a binkie, she is putting her blanket in her mouth.

Amy's bear and Opa

Amy wanted Opa to see her bear. Opa played with Amy and her bear. Here the bear is turning pages and Amy is laughing.

This is a photo of when Amy first introduces her bear to Opa.

Amy was showing her bear the book by putting his nose right on the pages.

Amy's birthday

Amy turned two years old and we drove up to Logan to visit.

She enjoyed playing with some ballons.

She got a big bear for her birthday. She likes bears.

We took her to feed the ducks in the park.

Chinese New Year: Year of the Rabbit

Bruce and I went to Vegas to enjoy Chinese New Year. The Bellagio always has wonderful displays and here are some photos. I was impressed with the full size boat in a pond. Beside the boat are real bamboo.

The rabbits are made of thyme and grass and the red flowers are azaelas. We ate in the buffets and just relaxed. It was nice to get away from the cold snap (-15 degrees F) But is always good to get home again.
