Andersen Family from Denmark

This photo is of the Hans Andersen family that sold everything and left Denmark to come to Utah. Ane (Annie) is the baby in their arms. She is my great grandmother. This was probably taken before they left Denmark.

 

They came from the Bredstup area on the large Island of Fyn. These are some of the photos from Denmark when we visited in 2007.

 

 

 

Pedersens & Olsens

Mette Maria Petersen's parents, Ane & Jens O. Petersen were on the Willie Handcart company in 1856.

 

 

Mette Maria Petersen was only a 10 year old girl when she came to Utah. The entire family survived the trek and settled in northern Utah. She is my great, great grandmother.

 

Metta Maria married James Olsen who also came from Denmark as a boy in 1850. They had 15 children.
