Amy was not so sure she liked being outside in the snow.
Esther was happy inside all snug and warm.

Amy & Esther
I spent a few days with Christina and her family. I took this photo of Amy and Esther in their matching outfits.
Here is a photo of Esther in a Christmas outfit that Amy wore. Esther is getting so big.

Christmas morning
Ben, Shera & Rylee came over on Christmas Eve. We talked and Christmas morning we waited to see what Rylee thought of her presents. She got a little baby doll stroller.

New car
We bought a 2011 Honda CR-V which is 4WD and should be good on gas. It will give me something to drive when Bruce is gone. He will be working 3 days in Delta starting on Monday. This is a photo Shera took with me holding Rylee at the parking lot of the BYU Art Museum. We went and saw the Block and Tissot exhibits on the Life of Christ.

Jan, Aunt Verna & Geneaology
Jan and I went to visit Aunt Verna who lives in Holladay with her daughter Debbie and son Jeff. Jeff was there and we talked for several hours. Aunt Verna is still sharp and told some stories about Olsen ancestors. I took a photo of her pictures of Ane Jensen and Jens O Pedersen (Petersen) who came across on the Willie Handcart company with their 6 children (all under the ages of 12) in 1856. They all survived the ordeal. I have run into several people who are decended from people on the Willie and Handcart companies. Tami Phillips gave me a book to read about the Willie and Martin Handcart companies called the Price we paid by Andrew D. Olsen.

Amy in her drindle dress
Amy is wearing the drindle dress her grandma brought from Germany 26 years ago. Her aunt Jenny wore it. Amy loves having Grandpa read her stories

Being a grandparent is fun.
Bruce enjoys playing with Amy and Rylee and showing them the piano.
I love holding baby Esther and all my grandkids.
Ryan's grandparents have over 65 grandkids. We stopped by to see them. They love being grandparents.
Being a grandparent is fun, but so is being a parent. I know Christina loves being a mother just like I loved being a mother.

Day after Thanksgiving and Esther's name
I continue to be so grateful for my family. Jenny asked me to find out some more genealogical information on the Bronson's (Bruce's mother's family) I discovered that Esther is a family name. Esther Osborn married Jesse Bronson and was the mother of Leman Bronson, Bruce's 3rd great grandfather. So Esther would be baby Esther's 8th generation or 5th great grandmother. Christina did not know that when they named her.
Esther continues to be a doll.
It was fun to have Shera, Ben & Rylee come visit.
Ben has new glasses.
Esther mistook the couch for mom's breast and was looking for something to eat while laying on the couch. She can be funny at times.

Thanksgiving
We have so much to be thankful for. The house is warm, but it was really cold outside. Minus 8 degrees this morning. We have a foot of snow. It was fun to have company for Thanksgiving. Dad did the turkey as usually. Esther has really filled out in the last month.
We tried to get some family photos of Christina, Ryan, Amy & Esther. These were the best we could do. Esther's head was usually leaning one way or the other.
